Solstice
Visual identity for Solstice, a folk-electronic music event organized by SchukaRyba and Select Form in Kyiv.
Drawing on research into Ukrainian heritage archives, the illustrations explore two symbols associated with the solstice in Ukrainian tradition: the sun and mermaids. The imagery extends across merchandise, social media, postcards, zines featuring traditional songs, bakery packaging, stickers, envelopes, and temporary tattoos.
The illustrations combine charcoal, ink, and gouache with paper cutting, scratching, and monotype printing, giving the identity a tactile, handmade character.
